KCollins
14:35
Welcome
miskenderian
25:45
Could you repeat what you said about earlier versions in Alma once records are overlaid by OCLC?
miskenderian
28:45
I think so, so we can see our original aleph record
michaelhandis
36:18
So there is no reason for us to ever export a record into IZ, correct? Only in to the NZ.
Patrick Raftery
49:03
it was suggested that 2 people from each campus have the alma certification
miskenderian
51:10
Can more than one person in a library get certified in, say, Resources?
Patrick Raftery
52:45
It’s certification in all of alma not one area
Patrick Raftery
54:20
This is a good discussion for the library as a whole to decide on who is interested. Then have 2 people start the training, thats’s how JJ did it.
KCollins
55:02
Excellent point Patrick
MGRick
55:28
We did the same at Law
Erma Nieves
55:39
We did the same at BCC
Ken Rosenberg
01:07:43
I have to go to another meeting, but if not covered will this process be immediate (daily) if we arrive a title it will be then shown as held from OCLC next job, no more 3 month load time
Ken Rosenberg
01:08:42
thanks
Wendy Tan
01:15:32
Okay! Thanks!
Patrick Raftery
01:53:23
Turn it off and Use Connexion
rgomez
01:53:46
agree
miskenderian
01:54:34
Agree.
Benjamin Franz
01:54:43
The first path sounds most reasonable.
Patrick Raftery
01:56:31
Is this a CUNY wide decision or is it campus by campus?
MGRick
02:02:12
Agreed!
michaelhandis
02:03:10
You also need a sign in in Connexion that allows you to export authority records
rgomez
02:03:45
yes
miskenderian
02:03:57
If there has been a change in a heading in Alma can we correct that heading in all bib records in Alma with that headings, as we could in Aleph? Sometimes, for e.g., dates have been added to a name with no dates in the LCNAF.
miskenderian
02:04:07
Yes, the sessions have been excellent!
Samantha Wong
02:04:08
I thought the cataloging training was fantastic. the practice exercises that were happening during the training is very helpful. You folks did a superb job
Polly Thistlethwaite
02:04:26
I’ve learned a lot! I think the sessions have been top-notch.
jlib2
02:04:43
Thanks a lot, Cathy and trainers
Wendy Tan
02:04:53
a round applause to all trainers
miskenderian
02:05:26
O.k., but in OCLC those headings would not be automatically updated.
miskenderian
02:06:18
What about uniform titles in the 240, will those be automically updated?
miskenderian
02:07:30
But can you link the the 240?
miskenderian
02:08:26
Actually, the 100/240?
Iris Gomez
02:09:02
Thank you!
Benjamin Franz
02:11:00
For time keeping purposes, Israel is 6 hours ahead of us.
Patrick Raftery
02:11:40
I think the question was more related to the alma instance that we have been using for training right now, when/if does that close?
Benjamin Franz
02:13:51
Sounds like its good through the first week of July.
Polly Thistlethwaite
02:15:35
