Hi Patricia, thanks for the question. Anecdotally, I have seen a push for more ebooks, both with consumers and in the marketing from publishers. It would be interesting to see more data on this, but it seems like a lot of people are dusting off old Kindles and Nooks the past few weeks!

As a reminder, everyone please direct your questions - and to which panelist you’d like to direct it to - in this chat bar and we will get to as many as we can at the end. Thank you!

I believe what is going to happen next will happen in steps. what I mean is that as we discover tomorrow and experience tomorrow’s evolution we will set steps to adapt, move forward and to respond to the changes.
Janet Rossbach
45:12
Agreed, Lamia! Other thoughts?
Lisa Chu
47:16
Has anyone see Ikea‘s branding ad on FB? It was the first ad campaign that directly linked itself to what is happening to the world I have seen so far.
Lisa Chu
47:56
I tbought it was nicely done and relevant.
Baruch Alumni Relations
49:26
Thank you, Lisa! We will keep an eye out for that Ikea ad campaign. What about it made it particularly relevant?
Lisa Chu
49:43
This ad exactly did what is said now - focusing on togetherness of people while we stay inside

As a reminder: please direct all questions to this chat bar and we will address as many as we can at the end of the panel discussion. Thank you!

Parents hagning out with their kids; ppl take time to connect with their family and friends via video chats
Lisa Chu
52:53
That is the only one that pops up on my FB feed.. I personally have not seen anything else. (P.s. I don‘t consume cable or netwok TV, no radio, no prints. Only on social media and websites)
Janet Rossbach
53:46
Do any of you want to return to 100% office work?
nic antoine
56:00
A focus on strengthening the interactions, that can be had, with whatever message is being sold, seems to be a viable avenue, moving forward. Focusing on how, for instance, a shirt or a sandwich will make one feel more alive, as it were. Focusing on the "obvious negative" won't necessarily highlight the "not-so-obvious positive", within any given situation. Especailly, the one that we are all currently within.
Rosa Lopez
57:14
I believe we all want to go back to our “normal life” and office work, but it will be a process to get back to due to safety after all of this happened.
Baruch Alumni Relations
59:20
Thank you for your comments, Rosa and Nic! As a reminder to everyone, please share your questions for the panelists here and we will address as many as we can at the end.
Natalia Venegas
01:00:08
Thank you to all the fantastic panelists for sharing their excellent and valuable experience. How would you recommend planning and adapting marketing strategies and content in this time of uncertainty? How can we increase the engagement of our clients and consumers in these times?
Baruch Alumni Relations
01:01:23
Thank you for your excellent question, Natalia! Is there a particular panelist you’d like to address that or leave it to them?
Natalia Venegas
01:02:08
I will leave it to them, thank you very much!
Felix Perez
01:05:10
To All panelists Because of the ease of entry, are there too many digital companies in the eco system?
Baruch Alumni Relations
01:05:42
Thank you, Felix, for that excellent question!
Rosa Lopez
01:06:49
What do you guys think are some of the advantages and disadvantages of the digital marketing and online living in the age of Covid-19? Due to too much information and misinformation in the social media, tv etc . Thank you
Baruch Alumni Relations
01:08:08
Thank you for your question, Rosa! We will attempt to address as many as we can at the end.
Lamia Ghezal
01:08:38
I believe that we need to make sure that the companies we are working with or for are socially responsible and engaged to build trust with tomorrow’s customer. Today’s customers are in shock and they need to be reassured.
Monica Cen Zheng
01:10:01
Coronavirus has changed the landscape of marketing at this critical time, the need for data or digital campaign is gaining weights due to this situation. Would the trend cease after the crisis or continue to rise? How do all the panelists forecast about this trend?

Baruch Alumni Relations

Lisa Chu

China was tracking COVID-19 spread with people’s mobile phones, Google and other U.S. companies mentioned that they were also working on developing similar strategy. There are concerns about privacy with the adoption of consumer digital data. How is digital information playing out in the space of Marketing during recent years? Is it changing with the breakout of pandemic and how will it go?
Baruch Alumni Relations
01:30:42
Thank you for your question, Monica! We will try to address as many questions as we can.
